Welcome, it’s so nice to meet you!

I’m so grateful you’ve found your way here.

It’s such a pleasure to have the chance to connect with someone new through my art. Finding a photographer that resonates with you is a journey worth taking and it’s an honor that my work sparks light in you.

I am passionate about photography and love being trusted to document special and treasured moments for individuals, families, and couples. I would be delighted to do that for you and look forward to giving you those final images that will last for a lifetime and transport you back to that moment each time you look at them.

I’ve created this guide to help you get to know me and understand what the experience of working with me is like. I want to be sure we have the same vision for your session so you are left with beautiful memories and timeless images that you will cherish forever.

A little about me

I am a wife and mother. My husband is my best friend and brings out the best in me with his unwavering support and love. We’re so lucky to have found each other and to be partners in this world. My favorite job is to be a mama to the tiny loves of our lives, our daughters Gia and Georgia. They are my favorite adventure and the inspiration to every photo I take.

I’m a lifelong artist and believe that I’m here to make the world a little more beautiful. When photographing families I aim to capture the power of moments. It’s important to capture the big moments that remind us why we're here and make us feel overwhelmed with love, but just as important to capture the micro-moments. Those seconds where you feel all-in and wildly present. Bringing those to life through photography is my passion and lifeblood.

I feel lucky to be able to photograph people and moments of all kinds and love watching individuals blossom in front of my lens. Capturing authentic moments, seeing joy & power flourish in individuals, and documenting the love of families has brought me a sense of purpose and place I never dreamed imaginable. I’m so thankful.

My work has been featured in some fun places such as Monica and Andy, National Association of Professional Child Photographers, The Every Mom, Janie and Jack, Paper Source and Chicago Parent Magazine.

I am a lifestyle photographer

What that means is that I aim to capture authentic moments and connections. I won’t come to you with a pinterest board or a list of poses. I start with you. I’ll take the time to guide you and make you feel comfortable so I can capture your personality and essence. Our goal in the session is to document the everyday moments of your beautiful life in the most comfortable and carefree way we can.

Location

We have two general options for the location of your shoot; inside or at an outdoor location. I love both and the right answer lies in what you’re hoping to get out of the images. Take some time to think about how you want to capture this time in your life before choosing your location and read below for more insight into indoor and outdoor locations.

Indoor

Choosing an indoor location is a great option for comfortable and intimate photos. Some of my favorite shoots have been in my client’s homes. These are great for more natural photos because we’re truly capturing a day in the life of you and your family. If you feel anxious about photos being taken or have young children, it’s sometimes better to choose an in-home setting to ease nerves and allow kids to relax. Plus, we can get a few with your family pet!

Outdoor

Outdoor sessions allow us to take advantage of beautiful natural light and give us the freedom and flexibility to find a place that fits you or your family’s personality and style. From picnics in the city to putting your toes in lake Michigan, let’s go all-in on an outdoor shoot and capture remarkable photos with magic that only the outdoors can bring. Some of my favorite places to shoot are exploring the West Loop, a field of tall wheat grass, the Nature Boardwalk at the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the beach (my all time favorite), but I look forward to hearing your ideas for the perfect outdoor shoot. Be Yourself

It’s so important to be able to be yourself in front of the lens. I will work with you to make you feel comfortable, but what I need to ask from you is that you sink into the shoot and allow your beautiful self to shine through. I’m here to capture you at your most honest self because that’s the version your loved ones know and should be preserved in photographs.

Do what feels natural to you in the moment. That could be laughing, dancing, singing, or crying and every one of those is beautiful and will lead to great results. Interact honestly with others, exactly how you would if I was not there. I’ll take care of the rest.

Thank You

It’s hard to find the words to express my gratitude that I get to live my passion every day with those I photograph. I love that this is my life and it’s such a beautiful adventure to go on with you. I look forward to sharing this with you and capturing you and your loved ones in photographs you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

If what you’ve read about my work resonates with you, please let me know! We can connect and brainstorm on the session together. Let’s bring your vision to life in images.
