Bringing home a Christmas Newborn — Lauren Michelle Photography + Design

As if the holidays aren’t magical enough, bringing home a baby during this time of the year is so fun. Ericka and Tim invited me into their home in La Grange to capture these newborn moments just days before Christmas. What a beautiful memory they will always have – Nora’s 1st Christmas.

I love incorporating the Christmas/Holiday decor to make the sessions this time of the year festive and unique.

Pro tip:
Get the toddlers outside. Even in the winter.

Toddlers start to get restless during indoor sessions. At the end of a session take 10 mins to go outside. This changes the scenery and allows for the toddler to get some energy out. Bundle the baby up in a cozy blanket. I can get some fun and beautiful photos within a few minutes usually. This will also give you a more varied gallery.
